Production Manager

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Production Manager to work in a machining facility. Nicholas Associates Engineering & Manufacturing is exclusively recruiting for a Production Manager My client is a leading manufacturing business based in Sheffield who supply into the Industry sectors.

Key responsibilities of the Production Manager role,
* Responsible for a small (30-50 employee) production facility comprising CNC and manual machining, grinding, heat treatment. Some products are definitely “precision” and require extremely tight tolerances

* Responsible for all employee issues – training, recruitment, motivation, discipline
* To lead a change of culture to one of pride and ownership
* To lead on continuous improvement initiatives
* Experience of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, process improvement projects
* ERP experience is beneficial
* Production planning experience preferred
* Able to read engineering drawings

You should have

* Previous experience of working as a Production Manager in a metals manufacturing environment
* Any experience of milling, grinding, CNC, heat treatment etc is beneficial but not essential
* Strong character and leader yet still a listener
* Commercially aware

In return for your experience as a Production Manager we can offer you
* £40-45,000 according to experience
