PRODUCTION MACHINE OPERATOR
STOKE ON TRENT
PERMANENT
38 HOURS PER WEEEK – ROTATING SHIFTS
£26,000 per year (INC SHIFT ALLOWANCE)
THE ROLE
* Safe operation of production machinery to produce good quality, saleable products
* Reading engineering drawings and relating these to the product being manufactured
* Undertake routine maintenance tasks such as oiling of working parts, cleaning belts and changing defective parts
* Reporting any defects found to the packing team and to the senior/trainee setter
* Investigating all quality issues and where appropriate taking remedial action
* Maintaining the required production performance levels whilst following standard operating procedures and safety instructions
* Light lifting and manual handling duties
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
* Previous experience of working in a production/machine operation environment
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Problem solving and analytical skills
* Ability to establish and maintain multiple priorities and function in a team environment
* Ability to work in extremes of temperature
