Production Machine Operative – Production Engineer

Location: Portsmouth

Salary: £26,000 – £32,760per yeardependant on experience

Hours:40 hours a week – Monday to Friday with 15 hours approximately available on Overtime per week paid at time and a half

Dynamite recruitment is currently working in partnership with a very well established manufacturing business based in Portsmouth.

Due to huge success and the new development of a work shop our client is looking to recruit a Production machine Operative / Ex engineer to join the business immediately.

As a Production Operative / Ex Engineer your daily duties would include

To produce manufactured products to defined quality, in time specified to ensure dispatchof customer orders to plan.
To maintain required documents on a daily basis (timesheets, job cards etc) to meet ISO system requirements
To highlight any opportunities for improvement of product or processes or H&S protocols to Supervisor/Manager.
To highlight any recurrent quality issues with supplied material to Production Supervisor.
Ensure work in progress is clearly identified at all times.
To assist with Warehouse duties and stock taking duties as instructed bySupervisor/Manager
To work efficiently and effectively as part of a team and to keep work area clean and tidy
To work to engineering drawing and sketches.
To manufacture turned / machined items to a high standard for prototype and production use.
To maintain high levels of Health and Safety standards, ensuring that machining equipment is kept fit for purpose and all safety equipment is maintained

The ideal candidate

Will have previous production experience

Will have soldering experience

The ideal candidate will have worked previously as an engineer although this is not essential
