Revision Recruitment

Salary: £36,000 – £44,400 per year

My client are one of the fastest growing precision engineering firms in the area, with an impressive order book further strengthening their growth over the months and years to come. Following a period of investment and business restructure, they are looking to recruit an experienced Production Engineer for their busy machine shop.

As part of the Production Engineering team, working in collaboration with the production supervisor, quality and production teams, you will work to resolve engineering issues necessary to meet customer demand. Reporting into the Production Director, you will provide a wide range of skills and experience to the business on a day to day basis. My client is at the cutting edge of innovation of precision engineered parts made in a variety of materials, using 3/5/7 axis machines, and a wide range of tooling and machining processes.

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

– Plan production methods for parts requiring production engineering including the completion of process routing sheets
– Design jigs and fixtures and special tooling to support production processes
– Ensure correct tooling is available to produce components in an efficient manner
– Liaise with and prepare any customer required technical information
– Providing technical support and information to internal stakeholders
– Produce required CAD data and coordinates for machines, including part programs
– Produce CMM checking and quality data systems for new parts

Ideally you will qualified to at least HND or C&G level in an engineering discipline, or preferably apprentice trained, with a strong knowledge of CNC machining process and engineering. A background in a production or manufacturing engineering role is essential, or you will have knowledge of solving production related issues within a machine shop environment. The ability to use CNC control systems including Hass or Heidenhain is essential, along with knowledge of systems such as FeatureCAM, 1CNC or Fusion360 would be advantageous. Working knowledge of PowerMill/HyperMill and DfM is also of interest.

My client offer a good salary based on experience, and the chance to grow and develop in a fast paced engineering group.
