Production and Distribution Manager

Location: Smethwick, Birmingham
Are you an experienced depot/branch manager with experience of managing drivers and dealing with customers on a site with H&S experience? If so, we have a great opportunity.
The Role. To effectively manage production and stock of company products for 2 brands at the site in Smethwick. To manage drivers at the depot and coordinate the distribution of products to customers ensuring high level of health and safety maintained. Handling customers in person and on the phone.
Responsibilities:
– The coordination and planning of production schedules, shift patterns and resources
– KPI setting and monitoring, along with objective setting
– The management of the site operatives/drivers
– Manage distribution of fleet from the depot on next day delivery pattern
– Working within company health and safety guidelines
– Comply to relevant legislation
Ideal Candidate:
– Knowledge of industrial operations
– Experience of supervising drivers (non unionised) and managing KPIs
– Knowledge of HSE standards, policies and procedures
– Experience of route planning
– Accustomed to dealing with customers – with regard deliveries, orders etc
– Likely to have a minimum of 10 years experience
– Educated to degree would be a particular advantage or considerable relevant experience
– Ideally to have worked with cylinder gases
