Senior Product Manager / Product Manager
(Electronic Health Records used to advance Clinical Trials and Drug Development)
Basic Salary – £60,000 – £90,000(Neg) with bonus and package
Solution — The “data” held within Electronic Health records is analysed and interpreted by software and that is subsequently used as a service that advances drug development. The data is used to direct research and deliver tangible benefits to research-based companies – BIG PHARMA developing new pharmaceutical products / drugs. The solutions affords clinical customers a real time “live” searchable database that provides a wealth of information to assist companies’ developing pioneering lifesaving drugs and devices cutting development time, saving money, and impacting the health of millions globally. Their technology connects electronic health records (EHRs) across primary and secondary care, and enables rapid patient recruitment, reduces clinical trial development time and costs. It also increases responsiveness to patient safety through near real-time monitoring. This technology could be applied to any established health economy across the globe. This has the potential to change the way that clinical trials are conducted in the future by ensuring drugs get to market faster and therefore improving patient outcomes.
Role —
* Support the COO, CTO and Head of Technology to develop product vision, create a roadmap, and bring a product (s) to life.
* Develop a sound understanding of technology and interact with the development team and delivery team to lead the ‘to market’ strategy for assigned product(s).
* Provide the link between the commercial, operational, and technical teams
* Work with a variety of department Heads to understand and define business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
* Working with Commercial team identify customer needs, develop strategies to meet customer demands.
* Work with the necessary departments to implement the latest technology and monitor progress.
* In collaboration with other Heads of teams & the Exec team, manage relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, customers and KOLs regarding product development initiatives, ideas, and feedback.
* Research new technological trends and understand how to integrate/apply them to products and company.
* Monitor and analyse product trends. Work with the Commercial function to understand market trends and segments.
* Study competitors’ services and products and share learning with Operational, Technology and Commercial functions.
* Explore new ways of improving existing services and products.
* Work with the Head of Services and Head of Marketing to develop product descriptions for internal and external audiences.
* Provide internal and external product training and technical expertise.
* Identify and present innovative product solutions.
* Work with development leads so that product requirements are understood.
* Work with project management and development software.
* Work within a software development methodology such as AGILE.
* Coordinate product releases with marketing, sales, and development teams.
* Answer product related enquiries.
Applicant —
* A proven senior Product Manager with a background in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, life sciences or healthcare. Candidates with exceptional pedigree within the FMCG market may also be considered.
* Candidates will have both Upstream and Downstream marketing experience.
* Be educated to degree level or have equivalent experience.
* Have experience in a role where exceptional writing skills are an essential requirement and be able to demonstrate writing skills at the appropriate level.
* Demonstrate exceptional verbal communication skills including the ability to translate complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
* Demonstrate a high level of skill & accomplishment in classic product management roles (Pharma, med tech/medical device, etc.) where products are developed collaboratively at pace, & launched in a highly regulated environment.
* Demonstrate a clear understanding of, or the ability to develop expertise in, developing and launching ‘products and a service’ as a market deliverable (not SaaS)
* A demonstrably high level of skill with MS Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Experience with software development platforms such as Jira would be desirable, but not mandatory
* Ability to work under pressure and to fixed deadlines.
