Product Manager

The role of the Product Manager is to provide the Sales department with the necessary technical expertise to enable them to sell the Group’s products.
Product management requires a strong knowledge of business requirements. You need to understand how the products that you are responsible for fits into the overall direction and vision of the company.

As a Product Manager your responsibilities will include:
Reviewing product data to keep up to date on new developments in market place and competitors
Briefing the Operations department on licenced suppressions products for new clients
Assist in product related enquiries from all departments of the company. You will also be involved in the resolution of any enquiries
Pulling together people working in different parts of the company to achieve the market requirements. You will be involved in communicating release information on product updates and therefore you must possess strong communication skills
Involvement in the design and implementation of market research projects and conducting them with the company’s Analytics department. Responsible for the communication plan, divisions of responsibility, milestones, report findings, and recommend action plans from the research.
Focus on the user experience that will be delivered by the product. You will be involved in the testing and analysis of response information.
Stock control for ‘The Bereavement Register’ stationary
Building relationships with existing suppliers and sourcing new suppliers
Manage the monthly process to report on data supplier revenues
Offer the Consumer Complaints department support on enquiries

Duties (include but are not limited to):
• Monthly Update notifications via CRM
• Annual Refresh notifications via CRM
• Licensee communications via CRM – changes, refresh times, etc
• Record queries with data suppliers
• New licensees setup with Operations and Sales departments
• Monthly contributor royalty declarations
• Due diligence applications with new suppliers and internal Compliance Officer
• Handling consumer queries
• Scheduling data supplies for builds
• The Bereavement Register Account management:
• Co-ordinate literature artwork updates with Digital Marketing Agency
• Co-ordinate form print orders with digital print suppliers
• Co-ordinate quarterly folder print orders with stationary printing suppliers
• Update spreadsheets to track performance of all sources and contribution channels
• Supplier management:
Annual contract renewals
Registrar monthly folder order fulfilment via Freedom Online
Registrar queries and order amendments
Data capture account management:
Fortnightly batch upload notification
Fortnightly form collections
Fortnightly invoicing (alternate week in between collections) via BACS
Batch destruction notifications
• Product assessment and development with Product Management and Analytic departments.
• Manage supplier feeds involved with The Bereavement Register website)

Skills & Capabilities:
• Proven database experience, with an emphasis on reporting;
• Understanding project and data management
• Experience managing projects to tight deadlines
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Experience in analysing trends and recommending practical measures for improvement
• Good research skills
• Good organisational skills
• Efficiency, accuracy and attention to detail

Desirable Skills and attributes:
• Uses initiative to improve processes
• Creative and innovative
• Strong communications skills, diplomacy and strong team player
• Working knowledge data visualisation tools especially Faststats
• SAS / SQL / SSIS
