The Procurement Executive will work as part of the Procurement Team. The primary objective is to provide evaluation and procurement support on the social value element of bids, for customers using social value criteria to procure goods, works and services.

The Procurement Executive will be responsible for:

  • Undertaking the evaluation of social value in a fair and transparent manner using the National Themes Outcomes & Measures Framework and according to the requirements of our customers.
  • Providing knowledge, best practice advice, training, templates, and tools relating to procurement to our people and our customers.
  • The Procurement Executive will be communicating with relevant stakeholders (principally internal and key customer contacts) on the status of evaluations, clarification questions required of bidders, and providing feedback on scoring.
  • Facilitating internal moderation and review processes.
  • Ensuring relevant governance processes are followed.

Essential requirements for the Procurement Executive include:

  • The Procurement Executive will have experience in the assessment / evaluation of tenders using a variety of routes to market, e.g. competitive procedures, frameworks, etc.
  • Demonstratable experience working in a public sector procurement or commissioning environment.
  • Good working knowledge of current UK procurement processes and legislation.
  • Comfortable working with data and web applications, including full MS Office suite (vast experience with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.)

Hours of work: Monday to Friday: It’s a 36.5 hour working week, but we offer flexi hours between 08:00-17:30 to suit. This is a hybrid with 1 day a week office-based from our Manchester City Centre Office.

To be suitable for the role you may have previously worked as a Procurement Executive, Procurement Officer, Procurement Assistant, Contracts Officer, Procurement Advisor or similar.
