Process Engineering Lead

Salary: £42,000 per year

Jackson Hogg is delighted to be supporting a global chemical manufacturing company in Stockton-on-Tees with the appointment of a process engineering leader. This is a permanent opportunity to join a centralised function of an established organisation.

Responsibilities

* Provide leadership and expertise to the manufacturing sites within the process safety and process engineering fields

* Provide practical support, assistance, and oversight of the PSM improvement programme execution

* Work with multiple teams within the company to continuing development and improvement of PSM standards and procedures, with emphasis on assisting with site roll out and implementation

* • Define custodians of Best Operating Practice guides

* Establish and implement improvement process with a focus on EHS, production, variable cost or quality related issues

* Take leadership for understanding and oversight of variable cost KPIs

* Provide leadership for process engineering expectations and standards, supporting sites’ to improve their understanding

Requirements

* Chemical engineer or equivalent

* Experience in a similar role in a manufacturing capacity – chemical/petrochemical/oil & gas

* Technical engineering problem solver

* Demonstratable solution implementation to solve root cause problems

* Strong knowledge of process safety good practice

* Able to handle multiple, complex priorities and balance the needs of each according to business impact

* Strong written and oral communication skills
