Privacy Analyst

Salary: £72,000 – £96,000 per year

What will you do? Privacy Analyst

The purpose of this role is to Provide support during the transition of GDPR activities from the GDPR Programme into the newly created Privacy Operations Team and then continue these activities on a ‘Business-as-usual’ (BAU) basis.

Some accountabilities of the role: 

– Providing practical support to the Privacy Operations Manager and the Travis Perkins Group Data Protection Officer (DPO) in the mitigation of risks relating to Data Protection.

– Managing and helping to conduct Privacy Risk Assessments for new projects and third parties, ensuring these are processed and recorded in the correct way.

– Assisting the Data Protection Officer to draft policies, processes & procedures, together with any accompanying guidance, as required.

– Working alongside Cross-Functional Data Owners to ensure compliance with the Organisation’s GDPR & (Data) Privacy Framework.

– Being a ‘Data Privacy Champion’ working to educate and raise awareness of the subject of Data Protection within the business, through training programmes & regular communications.

– Monitoring business performance against objectives set to ensure continuous improvement in our Data Protection activities.

– Keeping abreast of the most recent changes to the Data Protection regulations.

– Facilitating the ‘Privacy By Design’ Forum.

Is this you?

The successful candidate will have a foundation and practitioner certificate in GDPR, experience within Privacy and security risk assessment is also a must! You will need to have strong knowledge of Data protection laws, practices and GDPR and can apply these within large complex organisations. 

You will have a high attention to detail and the ability to negotiate and influence stakeholders at all levels. You will need to have the ability to draw insight, take a point of view and make recommendations.
