Principal Research Engineer

Product Engineering (PRE) is a market-focused engineering and technology group, working innovatively to combine OEM product and materials expertise in order to differentiate Tata Steel and provide value to both Tata Steel and its customers. PRE is staffed with experienced engineers and technologists, primarily from the automotive industry.

The role is part of the team in a multi-disciplinary automotive technology and project engineering group and the post holder will have a key role in providing design optimised and cost efficient solutions using the existing and new Tata Steel development portfolio and other materials. It involves commercial, general management and project leadership of customer, sector and research projects, requiring technical, organisational and human relations skills to manage both technical and personnel issues.
