Principal Hydrologist – Westminster

My client, an international, market leading multidisciplinary Engineering Consultancy, is searching for a Principal Hydrologist who specialises in Flood Estimation to join an established team of specialists based in Westminster, Central London.

It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background in a relevant discipline and have achieved or are close to achieving chartered status.

Applicants are required to have approximately 8 years+ experience working within a UK based Consultancy completing Hydrological, Flood Risk, River and Drainage Projects for Local Authorities, Water Companies or Private Sector Clients.

It is also essential for applicants to specialise in Hydrology and Flood Estimation and have experience completing Flood Risk Assessments, Surface Water Management Plans, Catchment Management Plans and Surface Water Drainage Strategy.

It is also beneficial for applicants to have experience managing projects, completing bid proposals and training Team members.

As a Principal Consultant you will join a large Team of specialist Consultants based in modern offices within walking distance of the River Thames. As a Principal team member you will be expected to part-manage Hydrological, Flood Risk, Drainage, Modelling and River Engineering Projects for Local Authorities and Water Companies.

The role will also involve mentoring team members, preparing bid proposals and completing Flood Risk Assessments, Hydrological Assessments, Flood Estimation, Surface Water Management Plans and Drainage Strategies.
