Press Setter

Salary: £26,000 per year

Metalis are currently recruiting for a Tool Setter working part of the operations and production team.

The Press Setter is responsible for –

• Running and setting of power presses
• Material handling-loading and unloading of coils
• Ensuring daily production targets are met
• TPM checks as required
• Booking production data onto progress cards and OEE
• Ensuring production and scrap records are maintained
• Using a pedestrian and counter balance forklift
• Aiding with the de-bugging of new tooling
• Improving existing tooling and setting processes
• Ensuring quality control procedures are adhered to
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings.
• Always looking to improve production output, quality and processes
• Ensuring all company procedures are followed
• Updating any incorrect quality plans and reporting any drawing issues
• Any other reasonable and relevant duties as and when required

Experience/Skills/Attributes:

• The ability to work well under pressure
• Effective communication skills
• Motivated individual who is flexible and willing to learn continuous best practice
• Ability to demonstrate initiative and positive attitude.
• Excellent organizational, time management and attention to detail skills
• Comfortable in being able work alone and/or within a team environment, contributing and sharing best practices, resources and ideas in order to continually improve

• The ability to work to set standards and procedures

Hours & Salary –

• Monday to Thursday from 8am to 5pm
• Fridays from 8am to 3pm
• 39.5 hours per week
• £26,000 per year
