Salary: £13.54 per hour
North Wales Police are currently recruiting for a Researcher to support their multi-agency hub for 2 months initially on a full time basis.
The successful applicant must have previous police experience and knowledge of force systems and databases.
Overall Purpose of the Job:
To provide research support for the Detective Sergeant and other multi-agency staff.
To continuously assess and make decisions regarding the level of risk.
To communicate the findings of the research to a range of multi-agency resources.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1.To conduct research of police databases (RMS, ICAD, PNC, i-Trace) and to decide on the relevance of information in order to provide accurate written chronologies in respect of Domestic Abuse cases, Vulnerable Children and Vulnerable Adults on the computerised form within specified timescales.
2.To continually assess the level of risk in order to make recommendations to supervisor.
3.To identify and remove sensitive information from chronologies in order that they can be shared with partner agencies.
4.To complete immediate safeguarding checks for partner agencies and to make decisions on the disclosure of information.
5.To develop and maintain an understanding of MOPI (Management of Police Information), and understand the use of handling codes and protective marking scheme relevant for the dissemination of information and intelligence.
6.To compile internal reports and prepare intelligence packages in order to brief and assist operational officers.
