Planning Engineer (Permanent Role)

Our client is looking for an experienced Planning Engineer to work for them in a permanent role.

Salary
Approximately 35K-50K

Job Description
• Provide functional assistance to Project Manager, to help plan and control the project’s schedules and progress reports
• Compilation of MS Project plan at Level 4, fully resourced, with critical path analysis, earned Value analysis, and resource levelling
• Compilation and monitoring of S Curves for both progress and cash flow
• Input and management of WBS content & provision of reports from the planning and control systems
• Assist Engineering Leads in population of Level 4 Deliverable Registers
• Weekly progress review of Lead Engineer(s) Level 4 Deliverables Registers
• Progress reporting from the Project Plan(s) enabling Project Manager to control the supply of engineering deliverables within schedule & budget constraints.
• Following completion of Engineering phase. Repeat all above for Construction phase.

Skills & Experience
• Previous experience of engineering and construction works on hazardous chemical plants essential
• Microsoft Office
• Microsoft Project
• Able to work to weekly/monthly deadlines
• Any Primavera experience would be advantageous
• Good Analytical skills
• Database management and reporting
• Spreadsheet management, with good charting skills
• Involvement with change control functions & reporting
• Preferably experienced in multi-discipline engineering design environment as well as site based construction projects
• Good communicator, needs to work with others within a small team
• Must be flexible and pro-active in approach to work within a small team.
• Interaction skills required to facilitate weekly reporting of progress
• Able to survey works and assess levels of completion
