Salary: £30,000 – £36,000 per year

We have an exciting opportunity for a PHP Developer to join our team based in Leeds. The role is a full time, permanent position offering a salary of £30,000 – £36,000.

Established in 2004, our award-winning vehicle tracking system puts you in full control of the costs and logistics of managing a mobile workforce and assets. We like to ensure our team are happy and we do a little ‘off the wall’ team building including: business coach development, family fun days, rock climbing – just to name a few with many more social events lined up.

We are currently looking to recruit a PHP Developer to join our development team and contribute to the continual growth of our business. The successful applicant will be dedicated to his/her craft, possess code writing capabilities, along with the ability to hit the ground running. They’ll need to write clean and fast PHP to a high specification in a timely and scalable manner, improving the code-base of our products in meaningful ways. As part of a small team the individual will be responsible for all aspects of the ongoing software development from the initial specification, through to developing, testing launching & support.

PHP Developer – Responsibilities

– Write “clean”, well designed code

– Produce detailed specifications

– Troubleshoot, test and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality

– Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle

– Follow industry best practices

– Develop and deploy new features to facilitate related procedures and tools if necessary

PHP Developer – Requirements

– 2+ years of software development experience in PHP

– Demonstrable knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX etc

– Good knowledge of relational databases (MySQL), version control tools and of developing web services

– Passion for best design and coding practices and a desire to develop new bold ideas

– BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
