PHP Contract Developer – PHP, JQuery, CSS, HTML(5), T-SQL / SQL Server
We need a first class PHP Developer for a 6 month very interesting contract in Devon to start in mid-June for 6 months.
Job Title: PHP Contract Systems Developer.
Location: Exeter.
Start: Mid June.
Duration: 6 months.
Rate: c£390 – £420 per day neg on exp.
Essential skills in / knowledge of: Excellent coding skills in PHP, JQuery, CSS, HTML(5), T-SQL / SQL Server ( OOP Theory & JavaScript really good to have). Software development lifecycle methods within project management. Knowledge of software development frameworks for enterprise architecture (e.g. TOGAF).
Requirements: implementation and maintenance workflow using various tools (e.g. Target Process). Web server technologies and solutions. Database server technologies and solutions. User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Bug hunting & clear bug reporting. Data investigation through SQL.
Specification: development, implementation and maintenance on web enabled database systems using a local / remote hosting solution. Specification, development, implementation and maintenance in conjunction with client IT team, hosted at client location. Retrospective specification of existing system / processes.
Desirable Skills / Experience: Project management. PRINCE2. Agile project management knowledge. Data Protection Act. Sarbanes-Oxley Act 2002 compliance. Safe Harbour Privacy Principles compliance.
Working within a service based industry with an associated software development environment. Agile structured development environment. TOGAF framework. R&D programmes and strategies.
DUTIES: Involved in delivering sprints of work for a large web enabled database solution on time, to agreed budget and to the agreed quality. Take instructions, usually in written or diagrammatic form, and either:
* Translate them directly into a programming language, creating the defined system or element thereof, or
* Translate them into a technical specification in order to delegate to another SDT member.
Assist other members of the entire delivery team to efficiently deliver an excellent customer experience.
Software Delivery. Breaking down a system specification into its simplest elements and translating this logic into a programming language. Creating examples of the data that a system is designed to process and working out what the system should do to the data. Increasing system operating efficiency and adapting to new requirements, as necessary. Undertake build verification testing. Migration of software and associated data. Implementation of software. Bug / issue reporting.
