Personal Tax (Senior)

Salary: £36,000 – £42,000 per year

The Company
Able Bridge Recruitment are currently working with an independent general accountancy practice in the heart of Edinburgh with regards to a senior personal tax associate. The role will report into a senior manager/tax partner and will be accountable for a portfolio clients. Due to the nature of the seniority of the role, you will be expected to deputise for the tax team in the review and assistance of more junior staff workloads.

The Responsibilities
On a day-to-day basis you will be required to provide tax advice to a number of clients. You will be required to meet with clients to identify their individual needs. You will complete tax computations that best reflect your clients tax position to ensure they are both compliant and exposed to the most appropriate level of tax. You will be working with limited company owners, sole traders, and a small number of partnerships. In conjunction with the above, you will also deputise for the management team on routine work requirements.

The Requirements
We are seeking a personal tax specialist with a significant level of personal tax (no less than 4/5 years), experience. In an ideal world you will be CTA qualified however applicants who are ATT/ICAS/CA qualified without the CTA exam will be considered. The successful applicant will have prior experience of deputising and leading the team on a day-to-day basis.
