Our client is a leading accountancy firm based across Somerset. This role is to work with the existing payroll team in Taunton
To provide an excellent level of service whilst working with clients across a range of industry sectors, including sole-traders, partnerships, and limited companies. This role will be reporting directly to the Payroll management team and you will be a key member of the team in its day-to-day performance.
You will be focused on working alongside the team supporting them to provide an accurate and responsive end to end service for all our clients and are responsible for ensuring that our clients receive the best possible client experience; proactively searching for opportunities to add value. You will also utilise and further develop your skills to assist your less experienced colleagues to harness a culture where the team and clients continually thrive.
Key Objectives
Managing the payroll inbox and allocating queries to team members.
Liaising with clients either to request information from them or provide copy reports to them.
Respond to client queries promptly.
Assisting with the uploading of pension reports to pension providers Through a good working knowledge of Excel, you will create weekly status reports regarding outstanding tasks, assist in end of year director checks and other mailings as required by the team.
Using Sage, you will be responsible for issuing Sage welcome emails requests, re-publishing employee payslips, adding new starters to Sage and producing and providing a variety of payroll reports as required.
You will provide support to our General Practice teams with client administration. Vocalisation of any issues arising or ideas/solutions that will help the firm promote its core principals or working practices.
Actively explore the opportunities available to get involved with work in other service lines or offices. This can include participation in the firm’s steering committees or advisory groups.
