Payroll and HR Officer

Salary: £26,000 – £30,000 per year

THE COMPANY:

A well known and established business in the Rotherham area are looking for a Payroll and HR administrator on a permanent basis. This is a varied and interesting role covering elements of Payroll as well as Human Resources, although HR experience can be an advantage those with Payroll but no HR background will be trained.

THE JOB:

Working closely with the Payroll Supervisor and with responsibility for the accurate and timely payment of salaried company employees you will cover the following duties:

Handling and resolving payroll queries
Prepare and process monthly payroll including any deductions required
Managing the auto-enrolment company pension scheme
Administer employee pension information
Accurately enter timesheet information
Process all statutory payments including SSP, SMP, SPP
Monitor sickness absence in line with company policy
Produce p45 and p46
Assist with payroll year end and P60 distribution
Collating sickness forms such as fitness to work
Assist with recruitment administration
Support HR with the induction of new starters and processing leavers
Maintain employee files THE PERSON:

You must have previous and recent payroll experience, responsible for full process of payroll not just collating data but processing also. You must have a sound knowledge of payroll legislation and HR experience would be an advantage.

THE BENEFITS:

The company offer a competitive basic salary or between £26,000 – £30,000per year, ongoing training and development as well as a generous holiday entitlement.
