Payroll Administrator – Maternity Cover
Job Description

This role can be based remotely within the UK, with occasional travel to our Cornwall head offices.
As a Payroll Administrator you will assist with the maintenance of all Payroll functions, handling administration tasks as required.
This role is offered as a full-time maternity cover expected to last up to 12 months.
You’ll Help Us By
Preparing and checking information to submit to the monthly payroll, including starters, leavers, amendments, absences, and deductions, gathering and check time and attendance data.
Administering statutory payments according to government legislation, i.e. SSP, SMP, SAP, SPP and SPL. Dealing with payroll deductions such as loan agreements and court orders. Inputting employee data into our systems, maintaining personnel and payroll records.
Managing the Payroll mailbox and responding to queries. Answering pay queries from managers and employees.
Communicating effectively with other departments, such as HR and Finance.
The Skills You’ll Be Sharing With The Team
- Experience of working in a payroll team in a sizeable company
- Experience of time and attendance systems or large volumes of time and attendance data
- General admin/office experience
- IT literate with good working knowledge of Outlook & Word as a minimum, advanced Excel knowledge
- Basic HR experience
- Excellent communicator – verbal and written.
- Numerate and analytical with excellent attention to detail, logical, methodical approach to problems
- Proactive and able to manage own priorities and deadlines.
- Good team worker, Able to work autonomously/self-motivated.
- Professional, high level of integrity and respectful of confidentiality.
