Paralegal – Hybrid Working

Salary: £54,000 – £56,400 per year

A prestigious, global, quality focused, insurance company, based in Maidenhead is looking for a Paralegal for a 6 month contract. The role will suit a team orientated individual, looking to support a Corporate Affairs Department with its contract review process as part of a contract review team. Hybrid working can be offered.

Responsibilities include:

• Completing the initial legal review of contracts submitted to the FM Global contract review process. Contracts include vendor and supplier agreements, non-disclosure agreements and technology service contracts.
• Providing the result of each review to the internal business partner, whether in writing or verbally or both. Responding to any questions or issues arising.
• Coordinating as needed on each review with the other departments involved in contract review – Vendor Management and Information Security.
• Ensuring that the administrative processes associated with contract review are followed and maintained.
• Advancing to an internal lawyer as needed when there are more complex issues or matters requiring special handling.

Knowledge and skills required:

• Bachelor’s degree in law or an equivalent degree
• Proven experience in contract review within a law firm or company legal or compliance department
• Knowledge of legal terminology and principles
• Excellent MS Office skills, particularly Excel
