Paralegal

Salary: £26,000 – £31,200 per year

Construction Paralegal – In House -Training Contract – Colchester, with potential for flexible working

Are you a Paralegal with a minimum of two years proven experience in construction law? We have an opportunity to work on both contentious and non-contentious work for a specialist construction team within a growing and very busy practice with a rare offer of a training contract for the right candidate.

Supporting 6 solicitors and undertaking office administration, you will be required to:

* Draft letters

* Draft legal documents and pleadings

* Undertake legal research

* Be involved in business development, including assistance with organising and holding events

* Preparation of bundles for Adjudication and Court

* Preparation of engrossment’s

* General filing

Key skills required:

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Ability to manage multiple tasks or caseloads

* Good attention to detail

* Legal research skills and the desire to develop an understanding of construction law

* Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines

* Office administrative skills for tasks such as filing, typing and letter writing

* Good teamwork skills
