Panel Cutter

Salary: £26,000 – £28,080 per year

We excited to be looking for an Panel Cutter based in Leeds LS11 to work in a busy Manufacturing business. 

You will be using a Gerber Z1 Cutter to cut out to use material further down the manufacturing process. 

Main Duties

Operate Gerber Z1 automated cutting machine always following operating instructions

Cut work to be sewn and upholstered; using the batching system.

Working with the QA team; analyse comprehensive reports to check throughput, material yield, processing times and individual job statistics.

Feed the work to the correct carts for the right departments.

Ensure smooth workflow with maximum output

Work with production Team Leaders to prioritise work to meet deadlines.

Visually check finished item to ensure 100% accuracy, right first time.

Ensure tasks are completed within set timescales, maintaining quality.

Discuss complications with Team Leader and come up with solutions for increased productivity.

Liaise and communicate with other departments, customers, suppliers and other service providers where necessary.

Be an effective team member, working with shift Managers, Team Leaders, Quality and Industrial Engineering colleagues.

Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Assist other operatives with lifting when required.

 Any other duties deemed necessary

To be considered you must have some experience in a similar role and be able to stand on your feet for long periods ot time. The role will also involve heavy lifting.
