P401 Asbestos Analyst

J&L Recruitment are advertising on behalf of a client for the following role:

Our client is seeking two Asbestos Analysts, due to the influx in work. They are looking to expand on their very well established asbestos teams on a national scale and are looking for 2 applicants in the Belfast area.

This role involves undertaking analysis in a wide range of materials for asbestos, entering accurate and timely results onto the Company LIMS system and developing UKAS accredited quantification methods. Other duties will include processing samples and data in accordance with our Quality Management Systems, maintaining the analytical instrumentation as well as other associated support tasks.
Successful candidates must have P401 qualification (Identification of Asbestos in Bulk Samples – PLM), with relevant analytical experience and knowledge of asbestos analysis. Environmental industry experience would be an advantage. Candidates will be conversant with working in a fast paced environment, have good attention to detail, be PC literate and have strong communication and organisational skills with an aptitude for working in a scientific field.

MUST HOLD A P401 CERTIFICATE
