Asbestos Lab Analyst – P401 – Yorkshire

This asbestos consultancy that offers professional advice and technical support services on a wide range of asbestos disciplines is actively seeking for a keen and articulate Asbestos Lab Analyst to join their busy team/laboratory Yorkshire and will include applications from Leeds, Doncaster, Huddersfield and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications & Experience:

The individual must hold the Asbestos P401 certificate and must have previous relevant experience working within the laboratory environment and within the asbestos industry.

Will have good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Will be IT literate.

The main focus of the role is to analyze and report on the fibre content of both of samples submitted by clients.

Specific Aspects of the Role:

Receiving and appropriately logging samples received by the laboratory.

Preparing samples for analysis.

Carrying out analysis of samples for fibre content.

Reporting analytical findings.

Ensuring appropriate storage and retention of samples.

Typing certificates of analysis and getting involved with other general laboratory duties.

Requirements/Attributes:

In general, the post-holder will be flexible, competent, will have good attention to detail and have the ability to work on own initiative and part as part of a team and at the same time manage time effectively.
