Location – West London
Salary – Up to £37,200(this includes London allowances)
Hours – 37.5-hour week, Monday to Friday with early, late and occasionally long shifts rotating to cover the opening hours of 07h00 to 19h30

The Company

My client is the UK’s largest independently owned not for profit hospital. They undertake highly complex procedures in addition to routine surgery and medicine. Consisting of over 250 patient beds and 12 operating theatres including dedicated endoscopy suites, a day surgery unit and a 14 bedded Intensive Care Unit.

The Role

My client is looking for a Band 5 (equivalent to D grade) staff nurse to join their team.

Candidates should have at least 2 years recent general surgical experience with sound clinical skills. You must be competent in the removal of all types of sutures/clips, aseptic dressings and administration of intramuscular and subcutaneous injections

You will form an integral part of a small, friendly team that demands high standards in order to provide a first class service.

This position will suit someone who is confident in working autonomously, but also take direction and advice from senior staff, in Consultant lead clinics and with the ability to adapt and troubleshoot to the constantly evolving service.

The services you will be involved in include:

*Dressings Clinics including post-operative Plastics and Reconstruction cases
*Running busy consultant-led Colposcopy Clinics
*Co-ordinating consultant and nurse lead Laser Clinics -hair removal, vein removal, photorejuvenation
*Assisting senior staff and consultants with the running of Photodynamic Therapy sessions
*Assisting Orthopaedic Consultants within our Plaster Room
*Setting up and assisting consultants with minor procedures under local anaesthetic in our well equipped treatment room
*Busy Dermatology clinic assisting consultants with procedures and tests

The successful candidate will be expected to undertake daily administrative duties including patient registration, charging, taking bookings and stock taking. As well as providing cardiac arrest cover for the building.

To enhance your skills, you will be supported in undertaking courses in ILS and PILS, Core of Knowledge for Lasers and after 12-18 months in post the Colposcopy course and Teaching and Assessing course. Additionally, The Clinic has an excellent Clinical Training and Practice Development department and strongly supports continuing professional development and education.

The successful candidate will work a 37.5-hour week Monday to Friday with early, late and occasionally long shifts rotating to cover the opening hours of 07h00 to 19h30; we are closed on Weekends and Bank Holidays.
