Out of Area 3rd Party Field Team Leader

Base location – Remote with travel required (South of England)

Roles in London and the Greater London Area will receive an allowance of £2,000-£3,900 per year

Here’s what you will be doing

You will be responsible for the day-to-day workings of a field based team consisting of Technical Specialists and 3rd party Meter Technicians, this will involve coaching and supporting your team to ensure they meet the business requirements on the smart mandate, in a safety critical role. You will need to be flexible in your approach, managing each situation for your team and the customers to deliver our targets towards Smart Mandate.
You will work predominately out in the field with a network of Field Team Leaders supported by a Field Service Manager (FSM) to deliver local, company, third parties and industry requirements. This is with the full support and backing of multiple departments supporting each other to ensure we deliver for our customers.
You will need to be driven and focused and be able to adapt to situations and challenges as they arrive in day. Your working day will need to be flexible giving you the autonomy to plan and prepare for future events as well as your day-to-day activities.
You will look after the people you work with and ensure their safety, wellbeing (both physically and emotionally) driving towards a culture of honest, clear, and concise conversations promoting diversity and inclusive culture, founded on strong relationships. These relationships will also allow you to have the relevant, personal, timely and specific conversations at all levels.
In an ever-changing industry you will have a clear defined purpose (which will develop and change) to ensure you know what you need to be delivering and ultimately, although priorities may change you will always know what you need to do.
You will have the ability to own and drive your own personal development and your future career path with the support of the wider business areas, this will help you build your PDP and a route plan for your next steps.

What we need from you

What we are seeking from you

• Previous experience of successfully leading and coaching people to enable them to fulfil their potential.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Effective communication, negotiation and influencing skills to achieve solutions.
• Excellent planning and organisation skills.
• Strong computer skills and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• To be flexible with travel and able to work on a multi-regional basis where required.
• A full valid UK driving licence, preferably clean but with a maximum of 6 points.

It would be great if you have

• Existing knowledge of the Electric and Gas metering industry.
• Previous Field Management experience.
