Operations / Transfer Station Site Manager

AN EXCELLENT OPPORTUNITY FOR A PERSON WITH A WASTE MANAGEMENT BACKGROUND TO LEAD A TEAM IN A NEW MATERIALS RECYCLING FACILITY & TRANSFER STATION (MFR / COTC)

Package: £30,000 – £35,000 + Bonus, Pension, Company Vehicle, Laptop, Mobile.

Location: The position is based within a reasonable commute of the site including the following areas, Glasgow, Paisley, Clydebank, Kilmarnock, Falkirk, Edinburgh, and Livingstone

Previous Job Titles: In a previous position you may have worked in the Waste Management industry where you will have gained or be close to completing a WAMITAB COTC level 4 qualification. This might include Operations Manager, Site Supervisor, MRF (Material Recovery Facility), Transfer Station, Hazardous Waste Treatment, Wood Shredding Site, In-Vessel Composting, Construction & Demolition, HWRC, WEEE, Resource Recovery, Health and Safety, Skips Depot with Processing.

Your title may have been: Waste Management Site Manager, Operations Manager, Recycling Supervisor, Waste Contract Manager, Transfer Station Supervisor, and Depot Manager.

ROLE

As a Materials Recovery Facility Site Manager you will be responsible for the effective processing / recycling of 120K + tonnes of waste per year

You will be the COTC4 Waste Management license holder for the site

You will be responsible for the efficient running of the Site this is a hands on role supervising the activity of around a dozen members of staff

You will be responsible for the development for the recycling site and increase production

The Site will involve manual picking but there will also be some automation in the form of conveyors, baling etc.

You will be responsible for ensuring daily processing targets are met

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
In a previous position you may have worked in the Waste Management industry where you will have gained or be close to completing a WAMITAB COTC level 4 qualification. Strong leadership is a prerequisite for the role
