Our client is emerging as a strong B2C business selling a wide range of healthcare and mobility products. The company is part of an established group which is a leading manufacturer of top quality beds, as well as a service provider to the public and private sectors. They are now seeking an Operations Manager to join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a manager with health and safety and contract and budget management experience, looking to join a family run business. As the Operations Manager, you will be tasked with the management of operational performance, customer contract delivery and profit and loss for our client’s service centre.

Supporting, leading and managing the service centre staff, you will respond to changing requirements and ensure that the business adheres to the highest ethical and professional standards. You will also drive team efficiency in the service centre for sales, costs and contract delivery.

You will ensure that the needs of users and carers are met at all times and set the direction for the team, as well as formally communicating it. Managing team resources to ensure the continuity of contract delivery, you will undertake reporting activities and business analysis in order to promote a culture of continuous development and improvement.

Your other duties will include:

– Taking responsibility for onsite health, safety and fore regulations
– Identifying potential within the workforce and providing specific training accordingly
– Implementing an effective succession plan

To be considered for this role, you must have:

– Management experience and a background of contract and budget management
– Experience of Health and Safety
– A full driving licence

As the Operations Manager, you must have exceptional communication skills and the ability to manage and facilitate change.

The ideal candidate will have previous warehouse or logistics experience. A call centre and/or customer service management background would also be beneficial to your application, as would experience gained within the healthcare industry.
