Operations & Facilities Manager

Salary: £30,000 – £34,800 per year

Prestigious North Leeds based Rackets Sports and Private Gymnasium Complex wishes to add strength to its Management Team through the addition of an Operations & Facilities Manager. Established for over 100 years, this member owned Club provides first class sporting facilities and a friendly social environment for the local community. Its also recognised as being one of the best facilities of its type in the North Of England amongst players in tennis, squash and racketball leagues.

The Role:

* The Operations & Facilities Manager will be responsible for maintaining all aspects of the club’s facilities and operational capability, including but not limited to; building, maintenance, cleaning, hospitality (bar and catering) and H&S.

* Manage approximately 20 team members via 2 supervisors who will report to the Operations & Facilities Manager.

* Work closely with the Accountant and General Manager to set budgets as required. Work to reduce costs where possible while maintaining quality of operations.

* Identify and collaborate to secure any grants available to help fund projects.

* Will involve some weekend working.

The Person:

* Demonstrable knowledge and skill in facilities management.

* An interest and/or experience in managing broader operations functions such as hospitality and Health & Safety.

* This role could be particularly attractive to someone with a sporting background themselves who enjoys being around sportspeople and working within a close nit team.

* Experience of managing small teams.
