Nursing Home Manager

Salary: £84,000 per year

Nursing Home Manager required; Stephen James Consulting are working with a leading “Not for profit” elderly care provider with homes throughout the UK. This large Nursing Home based in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire provides specialist nursing and residential care for older people, comprising those living with dementia, the home is set in a beautiful contemporary yet homely atmosphere.

Key Requirements:

• You must be a qualified Nurse (NMC Registration/UK Pin No)
• Experience of managing a similar sized service, offering dementia, nursing residential care services.
• Your experience and ability will allow you to manage, direct and lead your teams, motivating them to impart company and your own values in their working day.
• Your ability to work in line with regulatory compliance, you will take the CQC rated ‘GOOD’ service to achieve its full potential.
• Able to inspire and mentor teams, a hands-on leader.
• Strong internal and external stakeholder management.
• Experience of meeting standards provided by the CQC and local authority.

Qualifications:

• Nurse qualification – Current PIN, Essential
• Experience of managing nursing homes for at least 3 years.
• The Home will have three distinct client groups residential, nursing and dementia, it is essential to have a background in each discipline.
• The manager must be able to manage a large team, leadership will be key to success for the staff team and the relatives.
• Full understanding of the CQC regulations and compliance guidelines
• A solid understanding of the Commercial side of the business, experienced driving occupancy and within the private pay market.
