Nursery Nurse Early Years Practitioner

Salary: £26,000 per year

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Nursery Nurse or Room Leader in a Nursery in Wood Green, North London. This is a great opportunity to join a 40+ place nursery that offers plenty of scope for progression. The role is based in the under 2s room, which is one of the 4 rooms they have in the setting.

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of Level 3 qualification and previous experience as a Room Leader, Lead Nursery Nurse or Room Manager. If you are looking to progress into a Deputy manager position, then there is also scope for this as they will soon have the opportunity for Deputy Manager Maternity cover.

If you have an enthusiastic and positive attitude along with excellent communication and written skills, and the ability to build strong, supportive relationships with children, parents and staff, then this may be the right opportunity for you.

Nursery Room Leader Skills/Qualifications:

* Level 3 in Early Years

* Minimum 2 years’ post qualification

* Relevant childcare qualifications in accordance with OFSTED guidelines

* Thorough understanding and knowledge of legislation including EYFS

* Empathetic, caring and friendly

* Enthusiastic, positive attitude

* Patient

* Proven supervisory and coaching experience

Nursery Room Leader Duties include but not limited to:

* viewing planning sheets and record keeping of all the staff in your room

* Ensuring routines are being followed and run smoothly

* Ensuring new decisions are taken on board and maintained in the room at all times

* Ensuring that all policies and procedures are being followed by all staff

* Being an excellent role model to the other staff in your room
