Nursery Nurse

Salary: £21.6 – £23.4 per hour

Permanent Role- Part Time 25 hours a week

We are currently recruiting for a pert time Nursery Nurse to join a private Nursery in Cheltenham. This is a permanent role working 25 hours a week, for the hours of 8am to 1pm.

This 65 place nursery is open all year round and close for bank holidays and Christmas. This is a great opportunity if you are looking for a part time role with fixed hours.

The ideal candidate should have a Level 3 early years qualification, however Level 2 Qualified Nursery Assistants will also be considered.

Nursery Nurse Role:

* Provide high quality care and education while promoting health and wellbeing

* Help children achieve the best possible start in life

* To ensure learning is linked to the child’s development

* To be able to plan for age appropriate activities

* To be able to communicate with Parents/Carers and other external professionals

Nursery Nurse Requirements:
• Level 3 qualification in childcare education
• Good interpersonal skills and an ability to be organised and efficient
• The ability to support trainees through mentoring and coaching
• Acting as Key-worker and to observe
• A working knowledge of the Children’s Act.
• Experience working with toddlers or pre school
• Good communication skills both with children and parents
• Ability to form good interactions with children and use own initiative
