Nursery Cook

Salary: £26,000 per year

We currently have a great opportunity for an experienced cook to join a Private Childrens Nursery in Hornchurch. For thie Nursery Cook role, you will work 25 hours a week from 9am to 2pm Mopnday to Friday. For this role, you will need to prepare, cook and be responsible for the everyday running and menus for the day nursery.

Having a current DBS and a food and hygiene Leve 2 qualification is essential for this position. Experience of working in a Nursery would be an advantage but is not essential.

We are looking for a friendly, experienced chef, who can manage the kitchen but also be able to work as part of a team.

If you have experience of working in a Kitchen as a Nursery chef, Nursery Cook or Kitchen Assistant, then this could be a suitable role for you.

Nursery Cook Requirements:

• Be a team player
• Build great relationships with our children and team
• Good communication skills
• Friendly and enthusiastic
• Food and Hygiene Certificate (not a necessity as the Nursery will support you to get one) 

Nursery Cook Duties

• Ensuring delivered meals are at the temperature 
• Ordering food online
• Using the dishwasher accordingly after lunchtime 
• Cleaning the kitchen
• To prepare all snacks and lunches and serve.
• All food is to be cooked from fresh
