Salary: £26,000 – £31,109 per year

About the Role

We are seeking various Warehouse Management positions to include night shift and early morning working across multiple levels.

All roles will involve the management of the Newspaper and Magazine distribution to cost and service targets met through the successful implementation of the business’s operational procedures.

Other responsibilities will include (but not be limited to)

– People Management – Performance/ Training/ Coaching and Under performance

– Ensuring excellent customer service through meeting service targets

– Identifying potential in the team and ensuring relevant development plans are in place in line with the Talent Management Strategy.

– Planning and preparing volumes and preparing for future demands

– Liaising with relevant parties

– Comply with H&S standards – ensuring this is embedded within the team

– Ensuring daily and weekly KPIs are achieved

About you

Competencies

The job roles involve working in a time sensitive environment.

For night shift positions, the jobholder assists in managing the distribution of product, seven nights per week in co-operation with the Night Management Team. This will involve ensuring that his/her shift patterns compliment those of the Senior Night Management team to ensure management cover is provided for the full week. When covering for either position, the jobholder will be required to deal with the variations to normal distribution arrangements at short notice (e.g. Newspapers arriving late).

– Proven experience of supervising or managing a team including training, motivation and development (developing people)

– Ability to prioritise and delegate work for immediate team (enthusing teams)

– Ability to build relationships within the immediate team and wider business (impact and influence)

– Ability to solve problems using own initiative (making business decisions)

– Ability to make decisions based on logic and interpretation of fact (making business decisions)

– Proven ability in identifying new ways of working (leading change and innovation)

– Basic PC skills

– Good attention to detail in order to ensure KPIs are met (getting the job done)
