An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time NHS Complaints Advocate to join their East Midlands Region. The role will be home based although you will be expected to work across the Nottinghamshire area on occasions and so be able to travel across the county independently of public transport.

You will be supporting a wide range of vulnerable people with sometimes profound and multiple needs, providing information and targeted help to ensure they are able to access and utilise the NHS Complaints process, including helping them to write complaint letters and attend relevant meetings. Ideally you will have experience of this type or similar work, along with a good working knowledge of voluntary organisations.

You will be a confident positive team player, able to work in partnership with clients and professionals, gaining an understanding of their issues by listening, exploring options and taking action as directed by them. The ideal candidate will have worked in advocacy, Information and advice or similar role before, ideally in a health, social care or voluntary setting and will have experience of working with vulnerable adults.

You will need to have a flexible attitude and must be comfortable handling highly sensitive information, and in seeking support and supervision. Strong communication skills and time management skills will be required and you will need to be computer literate.
