Network Engineer- Cathcart Associates are working with a leading technical consultancy to recruit an experienced Network Engineer for a permanent position within their technical division in either Edinburgh or Glasgow.

My client provides technical services to some of the largest and most prestigious organisation’s in the country, and thanks to this solid client base they are looking for another Network Engineer.

Key Responsibilities / Requirements:

** Great Working knowledge of the installation and maintenance of Cisco LAN WAN infrastructure

** Responsible for the installation and configuration of MPLS WAN solutions

** Excellent working knowledge TCP/IP

** Solid experience with Core Routers, Internet Edge Routers, Layer 2 and Layer 3 implementations

** Responsible for diagnosing network issues related to routing and /or performance as well as recommending alterations to current network configurations, either on clients sites or working remotely

** Key in setup, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting various brands of firewall/routers, primary Cisco but also HP and Draytek

** Good experience with Network Security – Check Point Firewall admin / security principles would be a distinct advantage.
