Motorsport Engine Designer – Contract

Motorsport Engine Design – Northampton – 6 month contract

I am seeking 2 talented Design Engineers (not Draftsmen) to work on a 6 month contract on motorsport race engines. Unfortunately, this opportunity is for experienced engineers only, not recent graduates.

To be successful you will need a track record of delivering and completing projects not job hopping without completion

What You Will Do:

– Create design solutions using hand calcs and CATIA V5
– Geometry creation
– Produce detailed drawings including GDandT and surface finish

What You Will Need:

– Mechanical Engineering degree
– Previous engine experience is essential
– Design experience gained in motorsport, aerospace or automotive industry
– Be fully conversant with CATIA V5 (NX would be useful in addition but not essential)
– Be able to work 8am to 5.30 Monday to Friday
– Be willing to work additional hours when required as part of day rate
– Demonstrate an ability to deliver designs to tight deadlines
– Ability to use static or dynamic CAE packages would be useful but not essential
