Mission Security Manager

Salary: £54,000 – £81,600 per year

As Mission Security Manager you will join a growing international team and lead the security of their space and ground segment platform development, together with

• Managing the security requirements across the companies’ various space missions
• Establishing, update and maintain strategic approach to secure development. 
• Developing projects to support the implementation of an effective SDLC. 
• Conducting security reviews of all company projects to build assurance in the security of their systems
• Developing threat models for all missions, 
• Providing security guidance, knowledge sharing and training to company engineers. 
• Ensuring that security requirements are implemented effectively across all projects. 
• Supporting the development of relevant security policies and standards. 

To be considered for the role of Mission Security Manager you will

• Be degree educated or equivalent in technical subject, ideally computer science or software engineering 
• Have a passion for cybersecurity, keeping up to date with the latest threat intelligence, technologies, and trends. 
• Have experience in the identification of vulnerabilities, either through source code analysis, penetration testing, dynamic testing, or system modelling. 
• Have strong commercial experience in a cyber security role
• Have knowledge and experience in developing threat models and identifying security weaknesses over complex systems. 
• Have excellent communication skills: an ability to communicate technical detail to a variety of different audiences. 
• Have communications and computer networking experience, real time operating systems 
• Have programming or secure code review skills, primarily in C 
• Have experience with remediation, mitigation, and resolution of security issues, e.g., through patching 
• Have cloud implementation/security experience (predominantly AWS) 
• Have right to work in UK – no sponsorship availabl
