Job Title: Middleweight Graphic Designer
Location: Poole, Dorset
Salary: circa £30,000depending on experience
Our client is currently looking for a Middleweight Graphic Designer to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will come from a design background, complete with creative folio and be exceptionally familiar with workflow processes, production and printing. The ideal applicant will be creative, self-motivated and able to take ownership of projects whilst supporting, developing and managing junior designers.
Job Overview:
As a Middleweight Graphic Designer you will be responsible for all matters relating to graphic design; including but not limited to catalogue production, presentations, POS materials and promotional material. You will be responsible for production and implementation of procedures that facilitate in the smoother operation of the graphics team and workflow.
Key Responsibilities:
* Champion brand and values and represent the department in dealing with clients, suppliers and other organisations
* Design and production of 300+ page annual catalogue
* Design and production of all business promotional material
* Ensure artworks and their guidelines are fully compliant with customer guidelines
* Design and production of packaging and POS materials
* Support product design department in all graphic design and presentation matters
* Undertake assigned project work
* Accountable for own performance and compliance against objectives and standards
* Required to make decisions based on established processes and procedures in relation to own job
* Support, develop and manage the role of Junior Graphic Designer
* Any other ad hoc duties as required
Customer Care:
* Provide efficient and friendly service to customers at all times
* Seek feedback from customers to ensure that customer expectations and requirements are being met
* Liaise effectively with all departments to ensure customers’ requirements are known and met
* Problem solve where necessary any customer dissatisfaction
* Use feedback from customers to improve standards of service in the future
Essential Qualifications required:
* GCSE’s or equivalent, Graphic design qualification to degree level
