Clinical/Medical Negligence Paralegal / Screener

This position is working for a leading, well-established Legal 500-listed law firm, with an enviable reputation in the field of Clinical Negligence.
As a Clinical Negligence Paralegal, you will provide administrative support to a team of senior Clinical Negligence Fee Earners, and will be responsible for pre-screening new cases, with a view to building up your own caseload in the longer-term.
Duties will include
* speaking to potential new clients, by telephone to ascertain the nature of their injury, attending home visits to take further details and presenting potential claims to fee earners
* opening new files
* drafting legal documents
* attending hearings
* dealing with clients’ enquiries
Suitable candidates will have the ability to prioritise their own workload, be able to work effectively without supervision and will have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Previous experience of working in medical/clinical negligence or personal injury is essential. Candidates must also have their own transport and hold a full UK driving licence.
The position is offered with a range of benefits including five weeks’ annual leave plus bank holidays and additional discretionary leave at Christmas, company pension scheme, life insurance and free on-site parking.
