Hours 7.30am – 4.30pm Monday to Friday
An exciting and extremely rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced and qualified mechanical fitter to work within a very busy vehicle production environment in Dunfermline.
Our client is looking for a candidate that has relevant experience within the automotive sector, this role is a permanent position with further career progression for the right candidate.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepares chassis prior to mounting to dies.
Observes all safety regulations and reports any unsafe working conditions to supervisor.
Ensure work area is kept tidy and hazard free
Ensure any defect tools are reported to the Production Supervisor
Report any health and safety issues/concerns to the Production Supervisor
SKILL SET/QUALIFICATIONS
Time served mechanic
Would suit previous automotive, mechanical or agricultural maintenance or similar industry.
Working experience with pumps, PTOs or similar desirable
Working experience of hydraulic systems desirable
Welding experience
Ability to read and interpret drawings
Knowledge of production processes.
Previous experience of working within a strong safety culture.
Previous experience of working as part of a team
