Mechanical Fitter

Salary: £48,000 – £54,000 per year

Our client is an established mining business, based on the outskirts of Burton-on-Trent. Working within a professional maintenance team to maximise mine equipment reliability whilst ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. In this team, you will be reacting to breakdowns, fault finding, reporting data and carrying out root cause analysis.

All duties will be carried out in a safe and economic manner and in compliance with mining legislation, company policy and management rules.

In order to carry out this role, candidates must have undertaken a recognised mechanical apprenticeship and show competence in working with diesel, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. It would also be beneficial if you have experience of working on heavy plant or underground in a mining or rock mining environment.

Shift pattern for this role will be 5 days a week, working a 2 or 3 shift system.
