Job Description
Role: Mechanical Fitter
Location: Thorpe Park
Term: December 2023 – End of March 2024
Rate: £20 – £25p.h
MJM Industrial is currently recruiting experienced Mechanical fitters for the maintenance of theme park rides during the winter season.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful Mechanical Fitter duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Ride and attraction maintenance
- Fault finding and diagnosis.
- Replacing mechanical components
- Replacing pneumatic and hydraulic components
- Replacing (plug-in) pressure sensors, prox sensors and switches
- Mounting and firring photo limit sensors and switches
- Slip rings, rails and brush gear maintenance.
- Parts requisition and replacement
- Following risk assessment and method statements
- Understands hydraulic and pneumatic schematics.
YOUR BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE
It is essential you meet the following criteria to be successful when applying for this Mechanical fitter role:
- Time served apprenticeship or equivalent.
- City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or above in a mechanical or electrical maintenance discipline
- Ability to obtain and maintain an airside pass.
- Unrestricted right to live and work in the UK.
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Computer literate.
The successful Mechanical Fitter will be working a minimum of 42 hours a week.
This role is NOT eligible for sponsorship or visa sponsorship.
MJM Industrial is a multidiscipline Tier 1 contractor for Heathrow Airport amongst others so there is the potential for you to work on our other projects which include but are not limited to Airports, FMCG, automation, quarries, manufacturing, etc.
