I am currently working with a global FMCG manufacturing business that is looking for a mechanically biased maintenance engineer to join their growing team in Stockport. My client manufacturer a niche product and are market leaders in what they produce.

THE ROLE:

Reporting to the site engineering manager, you will be part of a successful maintenance team and will be responsible for;

Conduct planned maintenance, breakdown and statutory checks as required.

Liaise with Engineering Manager to prioritise workload and ensure adequate resources are made available to resolve issues.
*

Working as part of engineering team on site when on night shift strive to keep engineering downtime to a minimum, prioritising tasks to meet business needs.
*

Ensure reports are completed at the end of each shift, logging completed work and flagging issues for incoming shift.
*

Improve machine availability

THE PERSON:

Based at the Stockport site, the ideal mechanical engineer will have the following skills and experience;

Mechanical maintenance experience in an FMCG manufacturing environment
*

At least an ONC qualification in mechanical engineering
