We are working in partnership with Carnaud Metal Box, a market leader in the design and manufacturing of can making machines. They have an international client base, with customers such as Coca Cola, Nestle and Heinz.

We are recruiting Mechanical Fitters to assemble their can making machinery.

You will have a good history of this type of engineering work and preferably be Apprentice Trained or Time Served engineer.

Applicants with a background of working with Rotational machinery e.g. carpet making, print and packaging, paint or drink manufacturing, Motor/Plant Mechanics, Fabricators/Welders who are not time served or apprentice trained will be given consideration.

The role of Mechanical Fitter includes:-

* Working from schematics and reading engineering drawings.
* Assembling complicated mechanical parts using hand tools and measuring equipment.
* Following work instructions which may include adjustment of some parts.
* Experience of Scraping is of particular interest to the client. You will need to demonstrate and evidence your previous five years’ work history. You will need to provide credible references from your current/previous employers before interview stage. Your own transport will be a distinct advantage due to location.
* You will need to provide your own tools (full list available at request)

* Pay Days (Mon – Fri): (07:30 – 16:15) 11.00/hr. for 37.5hr week – with an increase after 12 week to 12.82/hr.
