Mechanical Engineer

Salary: £48,000 – £72,000 per year

The Opportunity

Our client is a global market leader in the design and manufacture of subsea equipment throughout the world. They are currently going through a recruitment drive to support a new process division of the business, and are looking for several experienced Engineers with a background in the Oil & Gas industry.

The Position

As the Mechanical Engineer you will be a part of the project organization, reporting to both Engineering Lead for the specific project package, and Department Manager. You will be responsible for delivering quality work according to relevant industry standards, and company guidelines and project specific rules and regulations.

You will also be involved in many phases of a delivery project, related to design and fabrication of subsea equipment:

• Steel structure and piping engineering, drawings and documentation.
• Follow-up technical details with suppliers.
• Participate in assembly and testing activities, including Mechanical Completion.

The Person

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• Preferably 3-5 years relevant experience, but not a requirement.
• Good mechanical engineering skills are required.
• Experience with 3D modelling is required (preferably CREO).
• Experience in generating fabrication- and assembly drawings.
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
• Positive and motivated to learn.
• Creative and able to shear ideas.

Benefits

Salary range £48,000 – £72,000 but happy to look at very strong candidates outside of this salary range. There is a bonus which has paid out at 70% over the past few years (10% rising to 20% at management/senior level).
