Mechanical Design Engineer

Salary: £60,000 – £90,000 per year

Due to an increase in project wins and in line with a pre-existing growth plan we are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with a Building Services background to join the core commercial project team of a very well-established, award winning Multi-disciplinary Design Consultancy.

THE COMPANY

• Very well-established, award winning Multi-disciplinary Design Consultancy who are renowned for their focus on sustainability and zero net carbon.
• Healthy order book in place for the next twelve months with commercial new build and fit-out projects with some major clients.
• Amazing Central London office however they are offering flexible working coming out of the pandemic.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for the design of the mechanical building systems including air conditioning, heating, natural and mechanical ventilation and building controls.
• The Mechanical Design Engineer will be providing mechanical services design on an array of projects primarily within commercial office projects.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior members of the team.
• You will support the Project Manager and Project Director with project delivery.

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND

• The Mechanical Design Engineer will be degree or equivalent Qualified in Mechanical Design or Building Services Engineering.
• Experience of designing into Revit is ideal but not essential.
• Working knowledge of UK standards.
• Ideally Chartered or on the way to gaining CEng status through a recognised industry body such as CIBSE or IMechE.
