Mechanical Development Engineer

Salary: £56.4 – £66 per hour

Murray McIntosh are currently searching for a Mechanical Development Engineer as detailed below:

The role will involve running engine validation tests (functional and endurance tests), reporting and engaging in the 8D failure investigation process, ultimately being part of the team that delivers the test DVP.

It would be heavily based on site with it being a role supporting test cells etc. (3 – 4 days a week on site).

Requirements:

In addition to a passion for engineering, experience of delivery, and a desire to be ‘hands-on’ with projects from concept to completion, the candidates will:

• Have a degree in an associated mechanical engineering discipline, with a sound understanding of Mechanical Engineering principles (showing an attention to detail, and being data driven).
• Previous experience running engine validation tests (functional and endurance).
• Experience carrying out the 8D failure investigation process
• Previously worked on and delivered test DVPs
• Experience working with combustion engines
